TENUTI — OVERVIEW

Tenuti

Your musical life, held to its full value

What it does,
and how to get in

For conservatories, music schools, festivals and the professors who teach in them. Everything here describes what the software does today — where something is planned but not built, it says so.

01

The work that isn't music

A quartet spends a fortnight settling on a rehearsal date.

A professor carries thirty students' repertoire in a notebook and their own memory.

A festival timetable is rebuilt because one hall changed, and forty people need telling that Tuesday has moved.

None of it is teaching, and all of it takes the hours that teaching should have had.

02

What you get back

Ensembles that arrange themselves

A quartet proposes times, everyone marks what works, and the group sees at a glance which slot nobody has to miss. The coach settles it in one click and it becomes a real rehearsal — with the roster, the parts and the group chat already attached.

Repertoire that follows the student

What someone is working on, what they have performed, and what their teacher wrote about it, kept in one place from a first lesson to a diploma recital — rather than in a notebook only one person can read.

One timetable, everyone's own view

Rehearsals, concerts, masterclasses and private lessons in a single calendar that checks itself for clashes. Each person subscribes and sees only their own calls, in the calendar app they already use.

03

04

How the pieces connect

A student belongs to their teacher, or to the ensemble — not to the school. That is why a professor can use Tenuti with no institution at all, and why a student keeps their history if they move.

Institution, festival or masterclass — optional

Professor

teaches, schedules

Student

practises, books, plays

The student sits outside the frame because the connection is to the professor. Remove the institution and the teaching survives it.

05

Worth knowing

Lesson notes are teacher-only

What a teacher writes about a student is visible to that teacher. Students see their repertoire, schedule and practice log — not the notes. Enforced in the software, not by convention.

Time polls never touch a calendar

Suggested rehearsal times are placeholders. Nothing appears in a subscribed calendar and nobody can book against them — only the time you settle on becomes real.

Teacher-only

Full detail in the privacy notice and terms. There is no lesson recording or transcription, no student uploads, no advertising, and nothing you enter is sold or used to train models. Institutions needing a data processing agreement should ask for one before starting.

Trying it

Tenuti is in an early pilot. If you teach, run a festival, or look after a department's timetable and this sounds useful, write and say so — including what you'd need that isn't here.
